West London Universities’ Partnership

WORKING TOGETHER TO ENSURE OUR WEST LONDON COMMUNITIES THRIVE

West London Universities are committed to working together and with partners to drive growth and innovation and contribute to a thriving economy and society.  West London Universities’ Partnership (WLUP) first convened at the height of the COVID pandemic when our Universities were at the forefront of supporting the NHS with everything from providing PPE, trained staff and reservists to developing Coronavirus testing and Vaccines, as well as assisting local businesses and supporting national policy decisions.  WLUP is chaired by Professor Andrew Jones, Vice-Chancellor & President, Brunel University of London.

Today our Universities are a source of support for business, whether that be through helping new business start-ups with our network of accelerator and incubator facilities or through helping to develop innovative new products, services or manufacturing processes.

By working in partnership we bring our wide range of facilities and expertise together on a regional scale to help facilitate change. Together we can contribute true critical mass and geographical reach and working with partners in local government and other membership bodies can help to bring together an unrivalled network to support the future vision for West London.

West London Business provides the secretariat to WLUP.   There are two Working Groups focussed on Growth & Innovation and Procurement.  WLUP has a joint working group with the West London College Principals Group and its member institutions are involved in many of the West London sectoral skills hubs.  WLUP is also represented on the West London Skills & Employment Board convened by the West London Alliance.
